Dawn Goldstein, PhD, RN, PMHNP-BC

Dawn was born in Toledo, OH, grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana, and Howell, Michigan area before moving to Arizona in 1988. She joined MSU CAPS as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in 2019. She also is currently the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Program Director at the MSU College of Nursing and an Assistant Professor, where she teaches in the graduate, masters and doctoral programs in the College of Nursing. Additionally, she is a U.S. Army Reservist officer assigned to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center.

Dawn is a member of the American Academy of Nursing (AAN), Michigan Council of Nurse Practitioners (MICNP), The National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (NONPF), American Psychiatric Nurse Association (APNA), American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies (ISTSS). She also annually serves 6 weeks in Germany as a Psychiatric NP in outpatient and inpatient.

Dawn is currently remodeling (period correct) a historic home (1829) in Depot Town, Ypsilanti while learning more about Greek Revival structures, as well as techniques in glazing windows.
