Jon is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and joined MSU CAPS as a Masters Intern for the 2019-2020 school year. He has spent his career as a university writing professor and is currently a faculty member in Michigan State’s Writing, Rhetoric, and American Cultures department, where he also serves as advisor and internship coordinator for the Professional and Public Writing program. Jon is also a lay hospital chaplain and completed clinical pastoral training at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor. In his free time, he enjoys writing, backpacking, and marathon games of Monopoly with his family.
