Qualifications and Benefits

Qualifications:

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree and be enrolled in a master’s degree program (e.g. Counseling, Social Work, Psychology) with graduation prior to start of the fellowship

  • Must be license-eligible

  • To aid in protecting privacy and minimizing potential conflict of interest for those who train at CAPS, applicants to our training program must not have received clinical services from MSU CAPS within 3 years from date of application. Triage/initial consultations and referral coordination appointments will not considered clinical services affecting eligibility.

 

Benefits:

  • A stipend of $35,000

  • Eligible for health insurance
  • 22 sick/vacation days (five of which must be used at the end of training) plus university holidays

  • We anticipate that professional development funds and professional development time may be offered

  • We will pay the cost to become licensed in the state of Michigan

  • Two hours per week to work on licensure study time included
