Drop-in Groups

Drop-in groups are safe places for all MSU students to receive social support and process concerns about interpersonal relationships, academics, social isolation and transitions, and more. Unlike other groups, drop-in groups do not require a group screening or consistent attendance.
  • Freshman Connect

It is expected to go through an adjustment period when doing something new. Is there any better example than starting your first year at college? Through the excitement and nervousness, you are likely feeling a wide range of thoughts and emotions. Let’s talk about it in a CAPS group specially designed for the first-year experience. Freshman Connect gives students a safe space to discuss concerns like social anxiety, making friends, homesickness, imposter syndrome, navigating campus resources, just to name a few. You will also have the option of exploring your thoughts through simple crafting projects each week (no previous art skills needed!).
