Lauren is originally from Cleveland, OH, and relocated from Pittsburgh, PA, in 2019. Lauren has a decade of experience within the mental health arena with experience in the integrated healthcare setting, providing crisis counseling, working with foster care youth, providing substance use treatment and community organizing. In her current role as the Student Mental Health Response Coordinator, she is building on CAPS’s Outreach mission by: increasing access to mental health information, partnering with students, faculty, staff, and administrators to reduce mental health stigma, promoting peer support, and advancing mental health equity. In her free time Lauren enjoys watching basketball, spending time with her family, and taking her dogs (Manchego and Gouda) on walks around the neighborhood.
