Swapna joined the MSU CAPS psychiatry staff in 2009. She serves as associate director of CAPS and director of psychiatry and is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the Michigan Psychiatric Society. She is also the psychiatric specialist on the Eating Disorder Treatment team for Student Health & Wellness.
